Kaminsky Sculpture to Wear
The wearable sculpture on these pages was designed in a most unusual manner. These forms were discovered in the sand.

In his search for a way to bring new life to the ancient and rather standardized system of jewelry casting, Kaminsky visited the restored workshop at Williamsburg VA in the Summer of 1971. He saw an apprentice working in the sand and had a vision of new forms discovered there. Returning to his new home in Arkansas, the former New York artist put aside his lost wax casting equipment and started experimenting in sand molding. The results of the next 14 years of work are displayed here.
